Wednesday August 4th, 2010 HammerCon II is on its way!
Enjoying your summer? I hate to be the one to break it, but cold weather might be upon us sooner than we expect. Thankfully that means HammerCon is also quickly approaching!
That's right, after a terrific first year we're back with a vengeance, in new digs (Plaza Hamilton, downtown on King Street) and a new date (November 6th), yet with the same format you enjoyed last year - only bigger and better! We'll have more space, more gamers, and more games to play.
Games, games and more games
Some of our featured events this year includes - but is by no means limited to - the Great Canadian Board Game Blitz, an 8-hour long marathon board gaming tournament; Speed Gaming, the most concentrated way you'll ever experience small-press and unpublished game gems; the ever popular Dungeons and Dragons RPGA events; all-day slots of Fantasy Flight's new and snazzy Warhammer Fantasy and 40K role-playing games; Bastion Studio's exciting Ex Illis computer-aided miniature game; and a super-secret surprise from Cthulhu and his cultists! We're actively seeking out more games at this time, so dust off your books, miniatures, dice, cards, meeples or LARPing gear and fill out our game submission form!
Help us help you!
HammerCon happens because of efforts by its attendees. The sidebar outlines some ways you can make this year's HammerCon the best ever. We need people to organize gaming events, spread the word about the convention to your friends, give us an idea of projected attendance by pre-registering, and last but not least, attend the convention as a demo rep, publisher, retailer, game designer or craftsperson. Click the appropriate links and give us a hand! If you can help in other ways, contact us today!
TTFN,
HammerCon Organizing Committee
