Tuesday August 24th, 2010 Cthulhu Cup tournament Thanks to generous support from Chaosium Inc., HammerCon will feature a large tournament-style event honouring the long tradition of Call of Cthulhu investigators! The scenario is written exclusively for HammerCon by Adam Gauntlett, author of See No Evil and Unhealthy Occupation for Pagan Publishing and co-author of Keeper's Compendium 2 for Chaosium.
Bad Rabbits is set in New York City during the Prohibition era and is sure to offer teams challenges both in classical problem solving and role playing. The winning team receives a selection of great Chaosium products, and becomes the official caretaker of HammerCon's Cthulhu Cup!
If you're interested in being a Keeper/GM for the scenario, contact our events organizer today!
Lots of new games added! We couldn't list them all in this newsletter if we wanted to! Check out our events page for more details. Some highlights include a Pathfinder Society track, epic GMT board games, several buzz-worthy indie RPG titles like Geasa and FreeMarket, the Great Canadian Board Game Blitz, and some cryptic details on our fantabulous Speed Gaming event. More games will be added over the next few days so check back frequently!
You can still help the convention and show off your favourite games by filling in our game submission form.
GCBGB finals at FanExpo The terrific people behind the Great Canadian Board Game Blitz will be running the annual finals at FanExpo this weekend, Saturday August 28th at 11:00am. If you're even so much as curious about board games, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't attend!
Best of luck to Patrick Perez, the winner of the GCBGB championship at HammerCon '09 - go make us proud!
Help us help you! HammerCon happens because of efforts by its attendees. The sidebar outlines some ways you can make this year's HammerCon the best ever. We need people to organize gaming events, spread the word about the convention to your friends, give us an idea of projected attendance by pre-registering, and last but not least, attend the convention as a demo rep, publisher, retailer, game designer or craftsperson. Click the appropriate links and give us a hand! If you can help in other ways, contact us today!
